PARENTS
Before our kids were born, many of us spent hours reading about this new chapter of our lives. We read about pregnancy and all its nuances, as well as nurturing our babies from birth to about age 5. After a while, and especially if we had more kids, the reading stopped. Fast forward to our kids as teenagers and here we are again looking for help and camaraderie. What stumps so many of us is the fact that our kids are faced with so much more pressure and comparison than we ever had to deal with. We are wondering why resiliency is down and anxiety and depression are up. We can pinpoint some reasons as to why this is happening, but this is a challenging chapter and many of us are looking for help.
Parent webinars are typically offered at no cost when a team or club signs up for a workshop. We also provide summaries to parents after workshops are complete so the language and tools are shared and consistent. We are always open to connecting with parents because we know the importance for parents to also learn, connect, and even commiserate. The teen years are not easy, but they are doable and the more we can empower and learn from one another, the healthier our kids will be.
